Todays Google doodle celebrates Marie Curie's 144-th birthday. Amongst this famous Polish scientist's many achievements was the winning of two Nobel Prizes (one in Chemistry and one in Physics). Evidently the science 'gene' was inherited by the Curie's eldest daughter Irène who in 1935 also won a Nobel Prize in Chemistry.
One of my favourite MC quotes: "Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less.".
