I'm just back from the University of East Anglia attending the Bio Congregation where I was awarded a CUE East Public engagement award. It was nice to see this years crop of students receive their qualifications. I was also treated to a nice lunch and conversed with some interesting people from the universities wider community.
I'm hoping that the award will help me when putting in future bids for public engagement funding.
It was also nice to be acknowledged for my work in this area. Hopefully, I can encourage more schoolchildren to take up STEM courses at university in the future.
