Free workshop on National Science & Engineering Week at the British Science Festival this Thursday!
Are you heading to the British Science Festival in
Aberdeen? Only a few places left for the National Science & Engineering
Week* information session taking place at the New Library this Thursday, 6th
September! Places are free so join us for this informal 2-hour session where
you can find out about:
* Hands-on activity ideas
* Practical elements of organising and running
events
* Funding hints and tips
* Activities and event formats tried and
tested
* How to find presenters and/or activity
partners near you
* Details of the 2013 theme and national
projects
* Free resources for organisers
You will be able to network and brainstorm ideas with
other event organisers from a diverse range of organisations including schools,
colleges, universities, museums, local community groups, charities and
businesses.

*Every year over 2 million people take part in National
Science & Engineering Week (NSEW) events around the UK. Funded by the
Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, NSEW is the UK's widest
grassroots celebration of science and provides a platform for a diverse range
of organisations to reach out to new and existing audiences with events and
activities that communicate the wonders of the sciences and engineering. It
next takes place from 15th to 24th March and the theme will be "Inventions
and Discoveries".
